Oven Roasted Mixed Nuts

A bar food staple that’s as simple as it gets.

Winter is here. And one of my favorite ways to warm up is by holing up in a local dive sipping on brown ales and eating savory snacks until the snow dies down. With this mixed nut recipe, you can save yourself a trip to the bar and cozy up in the comfort of your own home.

And like any good recipe, these oven-roasted nuts open up to unlimited customization. So you can enjoy the savory snack in any way that satisfies your current craving. The base recipe leans toward a cumin heavier approach to give the nuts a meatier, savory flavor. But a little melted butter and cayenne can give you some buffalo inspired nuts, or chili powder and lime juice can help you forget about winter altogether and pretend you’re somewhere warmer. When it comes to your favorite seasoning style, go nuts (I’m so sorry).
