Paneer Tikka Masala Pizza

The mouthwatering flavors of spiced curry on a garlic & herb pizza crusted.

The Paneer Tikka Masala Pizza is a fun fusion of pizza and chicken tikka masala. The pizza is generously topped with chunks of chicken, roasted paneer, gooey mozzarella, along with peppers, garlic and onions that simmer in a pool of spicy and creamy tikka masala sauce. For me, it was the paneer that really that really stood out. These squeaky cubes complement the chicken and soak up the tikka masala simmer sauce, adding great flavor and a filling mouthful with each bite of pizza.

For the crust, I wanted to get something similar to naan, especially garlic herb naan, which is my favorite when eating tikka masala. So the crust calls for a nice layer of garlic paste and parsley rub after it’s been preheated to evoke that flavor. The end result of this pizza is that it’s the perfect combination of pizza and tikka masala. Each bite is like eating garlic naan dipped in a heart dish of tikka masala.

Recipe Notes: You can consider swapping the chicken for chickpeas for a healthier alternative. Or using chickpea flour as the base for your pizza crust. Alternatively, skip the pizza and bake the ingredients over naan for a true take on tikka masala. For an extra savory oven-roasted paneer, consider salting with garlic salt and garlic powder before adding to the pizza.
