Roasted Red Grapes

Ready to take grapes to a weird and delicious new level? If you haven’t oven roasted grapes before, now is the time to start.
Another savory and sweet match made in heaven.
Another sweet, simple, savory match made in heaven.

For those who like the bland and the boring, keep at it. But for the bold and the brave – take note. While the idea of throwing some grapes in the oven might not seem groundbreaking, it’s the addition of olive oil, salt, and black pepper that really start to make it interesting. The snack makes a great sidekick to a hearty main dish of steak or chicken. But don’t neglect it as a dessert either. It goes great on ice cream or even as a light summer snack by itself.

Ingredients

  • ~1-2 cups of red grapes
  • 1 tsp of olive oil per cup of grapes used
  • salt
  • pepper

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
  • Cover a pan or baking dish with foil and coat in oil or cooking spray.
  • Wash and take the stems out of the grapes.
  • Put the grapes in the pan/dish and coat with 1-2 tsp olive oil.
  • A pinch of salt & pepper. Mix the grapes together with the oil, salt, and pepper.
  • Cook for about 15-25 minutes.

Notes
The perfect time to pull ’em out of the oven is when they start to shrivel and burst open a bit.
Also, don’t toss the juice that starts to form in the pan. It tastes great. Try using it over ice cream or just with the grapes themselves.
