One of the best things I had in Croatia was a simple shredded cabbage salad.
I’m not even kidding. It was so good. Here is a picture me eating it. Look how happy I am (you can’t even see the cabbage, but you get the idea).
Have you ever seen someone that happy eating a cabbage salad? That’s the magic of cabbage baby (again, the liter of wine might have factored into this).
This recipe tries to recapture that Croatian cabbage magic.
Time You Need
- ~10 minutes prep
- ~30 minutes marinating
What You Need
- ½ head of shredded green cabbage
- 3 tbsp olive oil

- 3 cloves of minced garlic
- 2 tsp of freshly ground black pepper
- Salt to taste
- *shredded Asiago or Parmesan (optional)
What You Do
- In a large bowl, add shredded cabbage and the rest of your ingredients. Mix this baby up like your life depended on it.

- Serve and enjoy!
